The Press Freedom Index is an annual country ranking, compiled and published by Reporters Without Borders, that assesses press freedom in each country. This ranking aims to establish the degree of freedom that journalists, media organizations and internet users have in each country, as well as the efforts made by the authorities to respect this freedom. In 2022, the Republic of Moldova managed to rank in the highest place of all the years in which it was included in the top. The previous year, our country ranked 40th out of 180 countries analyzed regarding the level of press freedom. According to the information, Moldova obtained a score of 73. 47 points out of a total of 100 points, compared to the score of 68.
